THE EDUCATION LEVELS IN AMERICA

One feature you would notice in developed countries is, there is a high value placed on education. For the United States of America, education is highly valued. Americans have a good idea of what each level of education involves, and how they can go about it.

Education in America could be similar to other nations of the world, but it is important to note the specifics.

To start with, the lowest level of academic certification is High School. For you to get a job anywhere in America, there is an important need for you to have attained the High School academic standard.

This is the lowest levels accepted for all job ranks. People who do not have a High School education are those usually involved in manual labor or menial jobs.

The next level is the Associates Degree. Getting this degree implies that you have a certain level of expertise in a certain area in the United States. It could be a trade or any professional aspect.

Having an Associates’ degree ensures that, you are placed in an income bracket that is higher than someone who has the High School certificate.

After the Associates Degree, the next is the Bachelor’s degree. A good number of students work towards getting this because they are aware of the juicy prospects associated with this. This is the degree that will comfortably take you above the poverty line.

The next educational level is the Masters’ degree. This is the level for those who want a much better salary. Someone who has a Masters’ degree would command more respect from both friends and colleagues, because they are at a position where only few skilled professionals are.

The last educational stage is PhD. This is the ultimate level in the United States. It shows total expertise in a certain field. It also signifies that the person would get the highest pay bracket in that field.
